A Summer vacation…

…Albeit an extended one!

I’m back again after taking a bit of a break through the summer months, I can say ‘Summer months’ ’cause we actually had a Summer this year in Scotland!

It’s been a fairly busy year for me as I have moved home and started a new job.  Gone are the restraints of working within the Higher Education sector!  It’s great to be working for a company willing to spend money on new tech and I am relishing the opportunity to take full advantage of it!

Over the coming months I’ll try to post up what I can about ongoing and completed projects.  In the pipeline is a move from our current backup solution, Backup Exec 2010, to Backup Exec 2012.  I’ll no doubt post some topics relating to that in the first quarter of the new year.

I’m also experimenting with Powershell 3.0 after watching some great videos on the Microsoft Virtual Academy website, a great pool of FREE video training made by MVPs.  So much fun to be had!

Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to comment and I’ll try to respond when I come up for air!
